The basketball stream now follows the day's tournament, game by game

The league's stream used to play games from the season, one after another. It now follows the day's tournament. When a tournament game is live, the stream shows it at the moment it has reached. When that game ends, the stream moves on to the next game on air and joins it at its live moment too. Before the day's first game and after its Final, it goes back to the season.

Always the game that is on

A day's games are listed in one small file with their tip-off times. The stream reads that list, finds the game on the clock now, and opens that game's own page, the same one a visitor would open. The page keeps it at the live moment, so the stream can never run ahead of the real time. At the end of a game it takes the next one on air, and it never goes back to the game it just left.

On its first evening it did exactly that: at the end of one game the stream moved on to the next one on air, and the sound and the commentary switched over with it within a second.

The live score on the front page

The front page's list of today's games now shows a live game's score and how much of it has been played, for example "Live · 53–41 · 24:59 played". The page reads it from the game's own recorded result, up to the moment the game has reached, so the score on the front page is the same as on the court.

What the stream shows is the same game

The stream does not have a picture of its own. It is the same page, the same player and the same recorded game that anyone can open, so what goes on air is what happened in the game, at the same moment for everyone.
